Job Description
Microchip is looking for a Senior Accountant to provide finance support to their manufacturing site in Caldicot, South Wales (recently acquired in Microsemi acquisition) by provision of financial and management reporting in order to satisfy internal and external requirements. * Primary on-site support for Caldicot entity * ~100 Employees. * Site has manufacturing and R&D activity * Support for local site operational and management requirements * Payroll checks in liaison with HR and external payroll bureau. * Journal entries - Payroll, Prepayments, Accruals, expense allocation, i/co recharges * Inventory and costing support for primary team based in US. * Opex Forecasting and variance analysis with * VAT Return * Preparation of Tax comp / return in concert with UK tax team. * Statutory accounts review / assistance with audit evidence * R&D Grant activity and accounting * R&D Tax credits * Liaison / training with manager and European finance office in Winnersh Nr Reading,, UK
