Job Description We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and innovative Scientist. This is a new and exciting opportunity based at our client's facility, a world class company that develops and produces consumer products based in Liverpool. We have an opportunity for a microbiological scientist supporting product development in the Personal care and Home care products service area. The purpose of this job is to support the development of new product formulations providing support to the Antimicrobials service and automated analysis. Additionally, the scientist will conduct investigative work associated with product efficiency within the deo product line . In addition, the candidate will also have strong logistic and technical skills as well as report writing, problem solving skills. It is expected the ideal candidate will work in a flexible manner exhibiting high energy, self-motivation and resourcefulness. Additionally, will be able to think logically and have the ability to effectively collaborate with and communicate scientific ideas readily. Education / Experience / Skills - Some industrial background in microbiology would be ideal. - Experience in performance evaluation of technologies/formulations within Personal Care and Home Care is desirable. - Experience of aseptic working, microplate inoculation and microbiological evaluation is required. - Structured approach to investigating problems to resolution. - Ability to organise, Schedule and Plan work with great efficiency and compliance. - A keen interest in automated systems and their functionality would be advantageous. - Proven ability to manage Logistics, COSHH, and safety and be able to work flexibly. - Excellent verbal and written skills, both internally and externally. Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with colleagues driving collaboration. - Ability to maintain operational effectiveness of automated equipment and monitor / report intervention detail and frequency thereby off setting down time. - Previous experience in the preparation and review and revision of area documentation e.g. SOP's, Reports, and Protocols would be desirable. - Experience of delivering process improvement would be desirable. - Passionate about quality and customer service is essential. Qualifications Degree or above in a relevant scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry or Microbiology) Additional Information Experience of aseptic working, microplate inoculation and microbiological evaluation is essential.
