Come and join the team and help us make history! Amazon is seeking an experienced Launch Program Manager to support fast paced launch and expansion of new business operations across Europe. Successful candidates will be natural self-starters, comfortable driving business decisions in a fast paced and often ambiguous work environment and interfacing with various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate has a broad skill set including excellent business judgment, deep curiosity about how things work, strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to define effective processes and mechanisms that scale, and a passion for launching new business operations to our customers. Your superior communication skills, including the proven ability to effectively manage, influence and negotiate with external/internal business partners at all levels will be utilized in order to deliver complex operational programs. This individual will coordinate the stakeholders required to launch new business operations. This will require defining and scoping program requirements and critical path, understanding intricate inter-dependencies within the program, and driving and coordinating cross-functional teams to launch on time and on budget, as well as driving standardization and consistency within our network, in order to continuously raise the bar of our launches. In order to be successful in this position, you need to be comfortable interfacing and driving various cross-functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization while maintaining a customer focus. Key Responsibilities: Scoping and defining program requirements and critical milestones for launch on time and on budget Planning, driving and co-ordinating the execution of all operational functions for successful program launch Managing cross-functional teams from project scoping to customer-facing launch, often operating in ambiguous environments Able to juggle multiple projects with competing deadlines whilst maintaining a customer focus Providing detailed, data-driven insight to identify and prioritize opportunities and to shape our program and operational decisions, as well as foresee risks, "join the dots" and drive to resolution Proactively build and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders across a range of businesses, with excellent communication skills Develop regular program communication and reporting, including launch plans, timelines, status updates, post-launch assessments and performance reviews with acute attention to detail on program status including significant milestones and any conditions which would affect the critical path to launch (program schedule) or program cost Takes ownership and accountability for programs, while maintaining the ability to ask for help, and escalate issues and problems as necessary to keep programs on track Designing program mechanisms to reduce bottlenecks, improve communication, identify risks, and gather feedback from a wide range of worldwide stakeholders "Rolling up your sleeves" to help get things done: we're all about launch and expansion!
