InvestIN Ambassador Overview InvestIN Education provides inspirational career-experience programmes for school students. We aim to create the 'ultimate work experience' through interactive simulations, site visits, seminars, networking sessions and career coaching guidance within STEM, Business & Political Sciences, and Creative industries. InvestIN are looking for professional, reliable and driven individuals with a passion for education, and desire to inspire the next generation of professionals. The InvestIN Ambassador will be a varied one year posting, with successful applicants responsible for providing a top tier student experience on the programmes themselves, as well as having the opportunity to design some of the course content for the relevant programme(s). About the role As an InvestIN Ambassador, you will strive to uphold the objectives as laid out below: * Industry Knowledge: You will be knowledgeable and up-to-date with the latest developments within your chosen field. You will be responsible for answering students' enquiries, talking about your University and work experiences, and supporting industry professionals within a career. * Enhance InvestIN Programmes: You will work alongside our Programme Management team to develop inspiring content and cutting-edge activities within your industry. * Role Model: You will be inspiring and motivating to our students, as well as a representative of InvestIN both on programmes and within other areas of the business. * Enhance Student Experience: You will be able to communicate effectively with students and parents/guardians building a natural, friendly rapport with credibility. * High Operational Standards: You will assist with programme logistics and work under pressure to meet deadlines. This job description reflects the main duties and responsibilities of the post. However, InvestIN Ambassadors may be required to fulfil other ad-hoc duties from time to time. Duration: One academic year starting in September 2020. We expect that InvestIN Ambassadors will work four weekends per term. This post is flexible around your academic studies, with programme dates to be provided well in advance, as well as opportunities for development and additional compensation. Location: The Ambassador role will have a variety of virtual and in-person duties throughout the year. In-person programmes are held in and around Central London. Pay: 11 per hour. Bonus payments may also be awarded from time to time for exemplary performance. About you The ideal candidate will: * Have a proven interest and passion in InvestIN's sense of purpose, as well as at least one of our careers; * Have some experience working with young people, or in a customer facing role; * Have studied the relevant programme subject(s) up until A-level and are working towards/are a recent graduate with a relevant degree or equivalent; * Have completed relevant work experience in that field; * Have a solution-orientated mindset; * Have a passion for inspiring the next generation of professionals Benefits of being an InvestIN Ambassador: * Paid, part-time work at a competitive rate alongside your studies; * Invaluable work experience and insight into various aspects of a dynamic start-up; * An extensive network of professionals in your chosen field; * Opportunities for development, with termly feedback; * Gain skills valued in every workplace, regardless of your career ambitions Apply below by 5pm on Wednesday 15th July .
