Here at wilko our Logistics team are looking for a First Line Manager to join them based at our Distribution Centre in Worksop. The Role As our First Line Manager you'll lead a team within the Distribution Centre to ensure inbound supplier deliveries are received and deliveries to Stores are fulfilled, whilst all targets are achieved around Health and Safety, Availability, People, Stock and Cost to Serve. Here are just some of the things you'll be involved in * You'll take the lead in creating a safe place to work, driving standards, ensuring that methods of work/safe systems are in place within the Distribution Centre and all legal compliance is adhered to. * To manage the team by ensuring all inbound stock is receipted, stock is available on time in line with demand, store orders are picked and loaded on time to the despatch schedule. * You'll take the lead in creating a great place to work within the Distribution Centre, ensuring team members are fully engaged, all targets around absence are met, retention and engagement are achieved. * Manage the team by ensuring that all stock processes are always adhered to, all team members and functional areas are compliant. * You'll identify any shortfalls in process that may lead to shrink and put actions in place to rectify. * You'll lead the team to achieve all KPI's including team member, departmental performance targets and payroll management in line with budget spend. * Support the delivery of the Distribution Centre strategy, by identifying any short to medium term initiatives that will drive improvements. What we need from you We need someone with a minimum of 3 years' experience in an equivalent role within a large Distribution Centre. We need this along with: * Strong leadership, organisational, co-ordination and supervisory skills. * Able to manage a demanding workload and experience along with working with Unions. * Able to challenge behaviour to influence, build capability within team. * Ability to influence, lead, coach, inspire, support, motivate the team, delegating appropriately, continually seeking to improve best practise. * Excellent change and time management skills together with ability to prioritise effectively. * Able to proactively plan, matching staffing requirements to varying seasonal workload whilst monitoring and reviewing costs. * Able to work in collaboration with Stakeholders along with their teams, provision of timely feedback, able to facilitate and provide training and / or coaching. * Experience in using MS Office365 , Excel, Word, Email and experience of using a WMS. * Knowledge of HR principles and practises along with employee relations experience.
