Job Description

Here at Concrete we're making homelessness history, it's a big statement, but we're not alone in achieving it. We're part of the national movement tackling homelessness. We're looking for a Safe and Well Coach to join our Cheshire East team. As our first point of contact, your work will be vital in supporting our customers and making sure they stay safe outside of our usual working hours and participating in our customer on call rota. You'll have a genuine understanding and compassion for people impacted by homelessness and understand the challenges they might face - signposting them to further support when needed and dealing with incidents as they arise. The ideal candidate will have great time management and be able to prioritise high-risk cases and help customers who need access to emergency accommodation. You will be working with sensitive information and following data protection, you will need up-to-date knowledge of current issues, laws and best practice of homelessness. You will need to be flexible and adaptable in the support you provide. Ideally, you will have at least 6 months experience of supporting customers with a range of complex needs such as homelessness, substance misuse and mental health. The successful person for this role will need to be DBS checked. Help us to give those without a plan, voice or home to build concrete futures by tackling the issues that keep people from finding their own home. Closing date: 29th June 2020
