Job title: Product Lead Level : Manager Reports to : Product Principal As a Product Lead in Kainos, you'll play a pivotal role across one or more multi-disciplinary agile delivery teams while taking ownership of the end-to-end backlog for a product and being responsible for its overall quality and maturity. You'll be responsible for managing a team of Business Analysts and Product Consultants to ensure that the processes for requirements gathering and prioritisation are operating effectively. Being a Product Lead in Kainos will give you the scope to proactively seek commercial opportunities and lead commercial negotiations, at product level. You'll work collaboratively with Delivery Managers and Solution Architects to shape the approach for the work that you and the wider team undertake, while also supporting the engagement with product or programme level business stakeholders and ultimately, being a visible leader within the consulting capability by owning the delivery of consulting initiatives. Minimum (essential) requirements : * Experience devising goal-oriented road maps, gaining buy-in from stakeholders and instilling a focus on MVP * Experience owning the end-to-end product backlog and taking responsibility for story quality and maturity * Experience facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders, negotiating conflicting viewpoints and achieving buy-in for new initiatives * Experience leading the collaborative breakdown of goals into small pieces of value-delivering work * Experience leading product teams ensuring the product vision and goals are understood so that scope is managed by the team effectively * Experience in shaping the approach taken in a range of phases of the software development lifecycle - such as analysis, acceptance, launch and live ops * Experience in providing direction and promoting good product management practices, across one or more agile teams * Experience line managing other members of the product team * Experience coaching and mentoring clients and colleagues in agile techniques and best practices * Experience implementing appropriate tools/standards/techniques for business analysis and requirements gathering, securing appropriate buy-in from internal teams and the client * Strong commercial awareness and an active participation in revenue or sales-generating activity * Can demonstrate a good understanding of relevant technologies and architecture concepts Desirable: * Hands on experience in another discipline within software development, for example Developer, Tester or Support Engineer * Experience working on client site day-to-day * Active participant in communities of interest such as online groups or speaking at conferences Who you are: Our vision is to enable outstanding people to create digital solutions that have a positive impact on people's lives.
