Hands on Engineering Manager | C# React JS / Node JS Development team FRONT OFFICE TRADING UP TO £130K London Permanent Engineering manager required from a C# or Java Background to manage and Lead a team from the from migrating from C# .net to ReactJS / NodeJS . Front office and middle office platforms. The company covers broking, clearing, operations, payments, FX, commodities, Middle office, Execution platforms and real time trading. This role is for Engineering manager from a Java or C# background to come in and be hands on with management, coding, design, architecture and scaling the team. The team are currently rewriting the current trading systems and modernizing the tech stack. Currently the systems are being rewritten in C# ReactJS & Moving to NodeJS and Azure. This is a Permanent role, Based in London Paying up to £130,000 + Bonus & Excellent Benefits. Roles and responsibilities: 1. This role will be to work with Front and Middle Office management teams developing strategic solutions driving new business initiatives, and advance the technical transformation in to open-source technologies. 2. Lead technical teams providing mentorship and direction & Support the Development manager 3. This is a Hands on Engineering manager role where you will be Initially managing one team and then all of the developers - the role will 60-70% hands on at first, getting involved in the rewrite, setting coding standards and architecture, assisting the team to help moving from .net in to Reactjs, NodeJS & Azure Cloud platform 4. Driving the tech leads and developers, driving technology and managing developers in London. Technology stack is: C#, .NET, reactjs , nodejs, Azure (for all new projects), Anyone from a Java / C# Trading Background should apply 5. Complete greenfield technical migration from C# .net core to ReactJS and Node JS. Areas of responsibility include, Technical design in C# Full stack development 6. Driving Agile processes and redesigning the trading system from scratch. 7. Architecture, Design & leading software developers Cutting edge tech stack: REACTJS | NODE.JS| C#, .NET Core | SQL Server |Web API | REST APIs |Azure | Microservices | Kubernetes | Docker | Mongo DB Skills / Experience Essential: * Experience of managing and leading developers is essential. * Lead technical teams providing mentorship and direction * C# / Java Development experience * ReactJS experience of open source technology * Trading OR Financial Services Experience * React JS / OR Angular JS OR Vuejs OR Javascript OR Typescript * Building and motivating high performing engineering teams * Hands-on engineering experience ability to write high quality testable code * Experience with building microservices Nice to have: * Front office exposure * Nodejs * Messaging experience * Strong knowledge of object-oriented design and development and use of design patterns (SOLID) To hear more, please contact Aisha Quereshi at Gravitas Group & apply to this advert with your latest CV.
