Job Description

Exiger Advisory team collates, reviews and analyses large and disparate datasets to detect issues and anomalies and report on its findings. It designs and builds innovative solutions to compliance and risk issues in the financial crime and regulatory fields, while providing specialist services to large and complex data-driven projects throughout the wider firm. We have a very exciting opportunity for Independent Contractors to join on a project basis to our Advisory engagements. Projects vary in length from 3-6 months. There is opportunity to roll into multiple project based engagements. International travel is required to perform the work. Your role will include supporting client projects, and you will enjoy working directly with clients to understand the challenges they face and design, propose and deliver solutions that address the Key Responsibilities * Scoping and supporting the delivery of analytical work * Management and quality control of development and analysis work streams in a wide range of project contexts * Evaluating new technologies to expand the scope of the team's work and improve its efficiency * Documenting your analysis in a comprehensive manner such that it can be shared with clients Knowledge & Skills * 5-6 years in relative field * Experience in the Financial Services * Intermediate to advanced level experience in SQL * Advanced in Excel * Data analysis experience including use of relevant software (e.g. R, VBA, Hadoop, Hive, Neo4J, i2, ibase) * Reporting and data visualization tools (e.g. Microsoft SSRS, Tableau, Qlikview) * Some scripting or programming experience (e.g. C#, VB.net, Java, Python) * Relevant postgraduate or professional qualifications * Experience working on projects for external clients * Understanding of the financial services industry * Model Validation and/or aggressive testing experience * Questioning mind set Professional Experience Required * Education to degree level or equivalent experience, ideally acquired in a technical or quantitative discipline. * Experience working with payment and customer screening system * Experience working with Financial Institutions working on anti-money laundering, transaction monitoring system * Significant professional experience gained in roles of increasing responsibility. * Proven quantitative, analytical and problem-solving capabilities. * The ability to independently query, analyse and interpret data from a wide variety of information systems. * A desire to understand business problems and to evaluate the results of your work in a business context. * Communication skills that you can adapt to technical and non-technical audiences. * The availability and willingness to travel based on client needs and business objectives.
