Front Chapter Lead Location: London Southwark, The Speechmark Building (Full-time remote working during COVID-19) Salary: Competitive Salary + Benefits Hours: 37.5 Mon- Fri COVID-19 Notice: We are continuing recruitment and have implemented new processes that promote candidate and employee safety. What will you be doing? As a front end chapter lead at Vodafone your primary responsibility will be to develop and support our front end web applications: ensuring that they are operational, performant and of the highest quality. As a people leader you will build and lead a team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development. You'll be able use your knowledge of software engineering to support shaping of new projects and support the development of less experienced developers. You'll also have the opportunity to influence the culture, facilitate technical delivery and work with your team on strategy and execution. Who are we looking for? * Support timely delivery of technical solutions with exemplary written, well tested code * Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with the company values * Lead, coach and further develop a team of engineers through regular 1:1s, feedback sessions and performance reviews * Partner with product managers to define the roadmap and deliver new features that will deliver value to our users * You have experience in leading, managing, coaching and mentoring software developers towards delivering timely, high-quality software together with them * You have solid experience working in an agile development environment * Expert JavaScript experience including asynchronous programming, pec closures, types, and ES6 * Commercial experience with React and Node.js and demonstrable experience with RESTful APIs and JSON * Good knowledge of responsive web design and experience with Git or other source control systems What's in it for you?
