Job Description
ABOUT US We design and manufacture robotic camera systems, camera tracking and latest virtual production technology for our clients like ESPN, Sky Disney and Netflix, to name a few. We have contributed to the production of many Hollywood box office blockbusters and award-winning films and TV series such as The Life of Pi, Gravity, The Shape of Water and Stranger Things. We are at the forefront of filming technology. We are all nerds and geeks and are looking for somebody who uses our cool technologies to make test and demo shots as we are too busy inventing the next generation of film making. ABOUT THE ROLE As we continue to expand, we are looking for an all-round film maker capable to create video content that would explain our innovative and game changing technology with video clips that are of similar standard as our customers are used to. We have our own experimental virtual production studio with cameras, lights and all you will need. This is a hands-on role where you will be engaged in all aspects of video production. You will be working independently and as part of the creative team and will be carrying out all stages of production, from conceptualization and internal pitch, scripting, casting, lighting, sourcing the voice-over, shooting, creating motion graphics, to editing filmed footage, including animation and special effects. Right now, you would be filming videos with the style and technology used in "The Mandalorian". The role can also include opportunities to support films on medium and large sets and access to high-end green screen studio equipment. You will also have the opportunity to use our studio for personal virtual production projects (based on availability and/or schedule permitting). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES There are two aspects of this job: * Experimenting with our innovative equipment, CG backgrounds and scenes, LED walls, Unreal Engine, etc. while filming in our green screen studio; working closely with the R&D team and providing feedback for further development and improvement of our technology. * Producing high-quality video content for our website, Social media, YouTube, Vimeo like product demonstrations and tutorials, client interviews, tests, pitches, etc. Requirements ABOUT YOU * You have a passion for filmmaking and especially Virtual Production with a high interest in video technology * Technically savvy, curious and willing to learn new technologies and skills * Strong sense of aesthetics, good eye for design and visualisation and aspiring to produce beautiful footage * Exceptional attention to detail * You have experience in operating camera equipment, professional lighting and audio equipment * Confident with major video editing software, e.g.: Avid, Adobe Premiere, Premiere Pro, Final Cut and After Effects * Desirable experience in data wrangling, ingest settings, transcoding, video codecs and formats * Desirable experience in working with colour correction * Knowledge of Unreal Engine or willingness to learn * Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines * Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks * A portfolio or showreel showcasing your work * A degree or HND that offers film or media production experience would be helpful Benefits 28 days annual leave (including Bank Holiday) Pension Scheme Free Parking
