Overview
Job Description
JOB SCOPE/PURPOSE: * To work within a mixed-discipline R&D team, assisting in the development of next-generation industrial coding and marking equipment * To improve the quality and predictability of software releases through detailed and comprehensive testing with a bias towards automated test development * To increase the overall productivity of the team, working in a fast-paced development environment, reducing time-to-market KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Gain and maintain familiarity with the portfolio of existing and forthcoming products * Design, implement and maintain automated test tools, tests and test suites for new and existing products * Produce high-quality documentation where required in support of those tests and tools * Diligently execute those tests, capturing results and publishing those results within high quality test reports or web pages as required * Collaborate closely with design engineers during debug efforts * Occasionally, participate in manual testing as and when required by the business COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: * Proven track record of implementing automated tests * Minimum 5 years' relevant software testing experience * Comprehensive understanding of real-time principles in test and an appreciation of networked devices, distributed processes and packet-based protocols * Excellent competency with Test Complete and Visual Basic * Good working knowledge of C# and XML * Good working knowledge of InstallShield * Working knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server, MSBuild, Workflow and PowerShell * Working knowledge of AWS, and ASP.net * Good understanding of TCP-IP and Wireshark * Familiar with Agile/Lean methodologies * Strong commitment to the design and test of high quality software * Tenacity, attention to detail and accountability to consistently deliver according to agreed project plans * Pro-active attitude, ability to operate as a team-player in a pressured but high achieving environment * Good communication skills, both written and verbal including the ability to disseminate ideas and information in an open, crisp and coherent manner to peers and management Danaher Corporation and all Danaher Companies are equal opportunity employers that evaluate qualified applicants without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, marital status, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other characteristics protected by law.
