Within the newly formed Innovation, Engineering and Architecture function at DAN there are a number of key initiatives that will drive technology strategy, rationalisation and impact; The Global Data Platform forms the strategic solution for Dentsu Aegis Network's data needs; Globally DAN has thousands of clients, all of whom have a dependency on the availability and subsequent analysis of their marketing and advertising operational data through which DAN delivers demonstrable value.Through Business Intelligence reporting, Analytics, Data Science the clients are informedof the performance of their campaigns and the resulting revenue implications, enabling the client teams to continuously improve the operational effectiveness and efficiency delivered to clients.The Global Data Platform will be delivered to a highly scalable, robust, cloud agnostic and modularspecification, enabling the platform to grow in a manageable and cost-effective way with Data Governance and Security forming vital ingredients. The DAN Software Engineering Blueprint will create a set of standard technology, tools, patterns and practices to drive cloud first, applications / platforms with a fast time to market. It will help to define and kick start associated Software Engineering Centres of Excellence around Technology domains across the Global DAN footprint. Additionally, it will deliver a set of standards, technology and processes to support Data Governance, Security and Policy by design Enterprise Integration and Master Data Management (MDM); increasingly we are seeing the negative impact of a fragmented systems architecture and we've identified a number of new workstreams such as Enterprise Integration and MDM as key enablers to creating a more streamlined capability supporting more straight through processing. These will also be a critical factor for success for other key programmes, such as our Financial Transformation Programme or our Sales Effectiveness Programme (Salesforce). Job Title: Technical Analyst Job Description: Role Overview We're looking to recruit a Technical Analyst to help drive the definition, development andon-goingenhancement of one or more of our platform components within the Innovation, Engineering and Architecture function at DAN. The platform components represent specific domains / bounded contexts within our platform architecture, formed of related sets of functional or non-functional capabilities that we seek to have built and operated as decoupled, independent parts of our architecture. These components will have well definedcontract interfaces and must be able to be enhanced, tested, deployed and released independently of any of their upstream or downstream integration points. An end-to-end 'business facing' epic will be delivered by orchestrating an end to end journey made up of a variety of functional capabilities leveraged (or added) to one or more platform components. You will be required to work with Technical Product Owner to support them in providing technical research and knowledge to help define, analyse, prioritise and refine requirements for their user stories, and working with the delivery team to support their successful delivery. Responsibilities * Act as Technical SME for a particular functional component * Support and collaborate with the Technical Product Owner in the delivery of a component * Conduct research and provide options into the capabilities required for a particular component and how these might be met * Provide technical analysis as input to user stories and the product vision * Support engineers in delivering user stories * Collaborate with Technical Authors to see that the appropriate documentation is produced at the expected level of detail and quality Candidate Profile * Experience from organisation with strong software engineering ethos * Experience from a number of industries, such as Financial Services, Gaming / Gambling, Media / Advertising, Retail / eCommerce. * Experience in a technical delivery role; development, QA, technical analysis, business analysis * Experience with online collaboration tools such as Office365 and the Atlassian toolset * High level of technical research, analytical, and communication skills * Skilled at understanding technical product initiatives in a complex architecture * Demonstrates and adheres to the DAN values What you'll get from us Dentsu Aegis Network is a fantastic place to work with many great benefits on offer including 25 days' annual holiday, Pension, Cycle to Work Sche
