Senior Mining Consultant - Open Pit Bristol, United Kingdom Are you interested to be exposed to numerous operations and ready for a steep learning curve? Mining Plus is currently seeking a Senior Mining Consultant to join our Bristol office. You will apply your Open Pit Mining Engineering experience to provide recommendations to Mining Plus clients and projects across a variety of commodities. It is essential that the applicant has operational mining experience in open pit mines, and exposure to the consulting environment will be beneficial. The role is full-time, based out of Bristol, United Kingdom primarily covering the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Domestic and international travel is a requirement of this role. Please apply via our Mining Plus Careers Page - Duties Include: Work as part of the global team on consulting projects. Ensure client requirements are adequately defined and recorded. Verify the scope of work and deliver outcomes on time and within budget. With supervision, carry out the following: Mining method selection. Cut off calculations. Run Pit Optimisations and using systems to validate parameters used. Produce practical detailed open pit mine designs. Open pit mine scheduling. First principle mining cost modelling. Haulage simulation. Equipment selection. Delivering auditable economic modelling. Technical report writing for various studies Desired Skills and Experiences: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering A minimum of 5 years relevant experience Solid experience in mine production A proven track record in strategic mine planning Experience contributing to a broad range of project documentation i.e. reports, feasibility studies, etc. Demonstrable proficiency with mainstream mine planning and design software, such as Whittle, Surpac, Vulcan, Datamine or Deswik The ability to work as part of a team Most importantly: proactivity, energy and will to learn About Mining Plus Mining Is Awesome We have a passion for our great industry, the inspiring people within it and the amazing projects we get to work on.
