CLINICAL FELLOWSHIP IN ANAESTHESIA Applications are invited for a 6-month fellowship in Anaesthesia at Charing Cross Hospital. One post is available from August 2020. This post is ideally suited to someone with an interest in furthering their exposure to neuroanaesthesia, anaesthesia for head and neck surgery, and anaesthesia for cancer surgery (urology, head and neck, airway, breast). In addition, there will be opportunities to gain experience in anaesthesia for orthopaedic surgery, plastic surgery and interventional neuroradiology. The clinical duties would be the provision of anaesthetic care for patients undergoing surgery in the various specialties detailed above, from pre-operative assessment through to recovery. Additionally the successful candidate would take part in the on call rota (there are two registrar on call rotas; one junior and one senior) that currently follows a 1:8 pattern. This is however subject to change dependent on demands placed upon our department from the evolving Covid-19 pandemic. Applicants are required to have a minimum of 2 years' experience in anaesthesia and intensive care in a structured training programme, and to have completed Core Level Training in accordance with the RCoA Curriculum, or have equivalent experience. Experience in neuroanaesthesia and neurosurgical critical care would be an advantage, as would experience of working in a UK teaching hospital environment. These posts are initially for a 6-month period although can be extended by mutual agreement if required. Only online applications will be considered.
