QA Test Engineer - 12month Fixed Term Contract

Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Test Engineer to join our IT Team on 12-month fixed term contract. You will be working in a fast-moving environment to plan, create and execute manual and automated testing actives. You will implement a test framework to enable future automated testing across a range of applications and platforms, own and lead all stages of the testing life-cycle and provide quality assurance guidance on automated testing. You will be working closely with both the IT project teams and business stakeholders to: * Co-ordinate the User Acceptance Test (UAT) Scripts preparation. * Peer review UAT Scripts and coordinate any test data to perform end-to-end solution testing. * Co-ordinate the User Acceptance Testing activity with business users and conduct test readiness reviews. * Manage the test plan and test activities across the program of work, escalating any issues to the project leadership team. * Monitor and triage defects in a UAT environment (including on supplier system) and track to resolution. * Maintain test logs in Microsoft TFS, report progress to key stakeholders and manage the preparation of UAT Test Completion Report. * Conduct end stage assessment / test phase exit meetings on completion of UAT Cycle. * Co-ordinate non-functional tests including performance/stress testing and cutover rehearsals. * Identify and propose tools and solutions that will enable more effective and robust testing across key applications and project * Implement a test management framework and automation tools, using tools such as Selenium, Jenkin, Eggplant * Create automated regression and functional tests within an automated test framework. * Build manual and automated tests across a range of applications and integration * Organise access to environments needed to perform testing. * Engage with business users to complete functional testing and ensure all scenarios are captured in business-critical applications during upgrades and releases. Requirements You will be an experienced QA/Testing professional, with excellent analytical and communication skills, who understands ERP (preferably AX 2012) in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience in software testing, release management, QA methodologies, processes, toolkits and testing frameworks both on-premise and SaaS is essential, as well as the knowledge in testing platforms and products such as Selenium, Eggplant etc at all levels including validation of data migration, reports, batch jobs and end-to-end testing.
