Entity Tax Reporting Manager 18-month fixed term contract The Tax Reporting team has responsibility for reporting tax balances for all entities which roll up into the annual report. With the initiative to increase the speed and accuracy of month end close it is essential that tax balances can be posted efficiently as part of the process of closing the books. This is complex exercise as it requires complex journals (including tax reconciliation and deferred tax by category information) to be posted into CERPS once the profit has been finalised, but before books have closed. We have a vacancy for a Tax Reporting Manager to join the team on an 18 month fixed term contract, reporting to the Head of Reporting and Forecasting. The purpose of the role is to transform the tax reporting activities, currently undertaken by entities around the world to reduce the reliance on manual processes and drive automation through the use of Robotic Process Automation and through utilizing Alteryx to transform how the process is undertaken. This is against the backdrop of a finance organisation which is undergoing significant change and transformation by moving finance activities to hubs and preparing for separation of the Consumer business. The key requirements of the role will be: * Overseeing the reporting of tax balances for GSK entities through the Tax Reporting pack * Improving the process through use of technology (e.g. RPA and Alteryx) * Testing the new process and rolling it out to GSK entities around the world * Working closely with Close and Control, Outsource Service Providers (EY and KPMG) and local finance teams to ensure that new processes are well understood. * Improving the process across key territories such as the US and Brazil. Why You? Basic Requirements * Strong accounting and background (CIMA/ACA or equivalent) * Ability to work with large amounts of data and to build automated workflows within Alteryx * Demonstrable experience of working on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) projects * Strong communication skills (oral and written) to be able to deal with senior stakeholders and finance contacts around the world * Ability to challenge current thinking and implement process improvement * Ability to understand and utilise accounting platforms How will I be rewarded?
