These theatres form part of the Women and Children's Division of NHS Grampian Acute sector and so this post offers the opportunity to gain experience in breast and gynaecological surgery as well in children's theatres if requested. The obstetric theatres will relocate to the Baird Family Hospital alongside Breast and Gynaecological surgical services and all services will be facilitated within 6 new theatres. The Baird Family Hospital is to be built on the Foresterhill site. Aberdeen Maternity Hospital theatres are a busy, pressurised and unpredictable environment which provides an opportunity to witness the everyday miracle of birth. The environment also facilitates the development of situational awareness to assist the ability to function in time critical situations. The successful candidates must be ready to learn, keen to progress and willing to spearhead change An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
