Civil Engineer, Hinkley Point C, Permanent, Competitive Salary & Benefits The Opportunity Edvance is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, an EPCC established in 2018. Edvance UK is the UK branch of Edvance SAS and is currently dedicated to the design of BNI for Hinkley Point C (and preparations for Sizewell C). We are based in a newly refurbished, modern office on Aztec West in Bristol. There are over 300 of us here and we're proud that it can feel like a big multi-cultural family - we have 40 different nationalities. An experienced Civil Engineer is required to support the HR Civils Team Lead. As part of a team, under the Team Lead, the Civil Engineer will be responsible for modifying and adapting the design received from the Back Office, substantiating the adapted design of the HR Building reinforced concrete structures on the Hinkley Point C project. The Civil Engineer will be supported by a group of detailed designers. They work closely with the Client and the Clients Tier 1 Civils Contractor. The Civil work design is made on TEKLA, and used as a deliverable directly for construction activities for different tasks. The Person As part of the Civil team, the engineer will assist in:- Modifying reinforced concrete structure designs compliant with the ETC-C, other relevant codes. Maintaining Edvance's QA procedures in delivering the CW design. Working with the CAD designers in the preparation of the design drawings/models. Managing engineering changes in line with company procedures. Liaising with colleagues in Edvance Paris (Malakoff).
