Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Arthroplasty Service Forth Valley Royal Hospital. The service provides review, support and advice to patients, carers and allied health professionals in the field of major lower limb and upper limb joint replacement surgeries. The service works with all Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons within Forth Valley Royal Hospital. We are looking for a motivated and caring registered nurse with orthopaedic nursing experience as essential. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and have good communication and organisational skills. ACE course is desirable. Xray interpretation is desirable but training will be given. The nurse will manage and attend nurse led clinics for the assessment and review of patients with hip, knee, shoulder and elbow replacements as well as providing telephone advice to patients, carers and allied health professionals. Data collection and presenting information to various groups in an agreed format is part of the service provision. The candidate must be committed to providing an excellent service and be willing to help with the continued development of the service in the future to ensure the service works within best practice and the aims of the employer.
