These posts are being advertised to address a temporary need of 12 months however the Trust has made the commitment to offer the successful applicant a permanent contract with the Trust. In the event that the need for this post ends, a suitable alternative post will be offered. Applicants should be aware that alternatives may require some flexibility on role and/or location. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for experienced nurses to join a well-established Community Mental Health Team in Hambleton and Richmond. The successful candidates will be joining a motivated and supportive team, committed to delivering a high quality patient centered service and to working towards improving quality and effectiveness. As a core member of the team, you will demonstrate excellent assessment, interpersonal, and team working skills and be able to work collaboratively with a range of statutory and third sector agencies. Experience and a genuine interest in older persons' mental health care, and working collaboratively with service users, their carer's and families is essential. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to develop their leadership and clinical skills and has a proactive approach towards their personal and professional development. As a Band 6 Senior Nurse, you will be expected to demonstrate leadership to bring about improvement, to take on the day to day support of the team and offer supervision to other staff and students. You will receive regular appraisal, clinical and management supervision and will benefit from the support of an experienced and committed multi-disciplinary leadership team. There are regular opportunities for CPD, both across the Trust and locally in North Yorkshire. Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
