There is a new opportunity to join our Commercial Services team as a Curtain Technician, this is a small but efficient team of individuals looking to support our B2B customers. Role Title Commercial Curtain Technician Department Castelan Commercial Services Responsible to Operations Manager ROLE PURPOSE To work as either part of our Commercial Service team, as required both in commercial premises or customer homes, Installing curtains & blinds, and building and installing pelmets. Daily route planning and liaising with customers face-to-face & clients to provide a high level of service at all times. There will be times that you may be asked to assist fellow colleagues with decorating in retail store within their room sets, assembling various Lighting Products on a Lighting Gantry within commercial premises and assisting with replacing case good in hotel rooms. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES * To fit curtain/curtain poles-track systems and blinds in customers houses. * Access, Plan and Build Pelmet boxes and boards within the customers premises. * Be responsible for your Van and stock at all times to make sure that you never arrive on site without the correct materials. * To decorate (paint/wallpaper) room sets in retail stores. * To assemble Lighting displays connected to Lighting Gantry's within Commercial Premises. * To build flat pack furniture whether it is within commercial premises or customer homes. * To use commercial cleaning equipment for use in retail stores-hotels and offices * Be proactive and not reactive - control events as they change - and then act immediately to keep projects on track. Escalate to the Operations Manager as required. * Help to ensure all Health & Safety requirements of the varying projects are identified and relevant training/equipment is completed and accounted for. * The role will consist of working unsociable hours, working and staying away from home and in some cases working longer than the scheduled 8 hour day. Due to the nature of the work this is unavoidable. This will also be at short-notice on occasions. * The role is subject to an Annual Hours Contract whereby you will be paid a basic hours salary on a monthly basis, followed by a monthly payment of any hours above and beyond the basic hours. * The role will require you to be diverse and adaptable to change and understand that new challenges will be key to the success of the CCS.
