Community Psychiatric Nurse - Rough Sleeping Team Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust is a multiple award winning and CQC rated 'Good' organisation, providing healthcare services locally, regionally and nationally. We have an annual income of 237 million and 3,000 staff. Haringey has recently received funding to develop a new mental health team for those rough sleeping. The new team will be based in St Ann's but will largely be working jointly with the out- reach services to deliver this services. This will ensure those rough sleeping have easy access to services that are built and designed around their needs. Many rough sleepers have been through incredibly traumatic experiences which can cause mental ill health or exacerbate problems. The Rough Sleeping Mental Health Service is a new service and will work with around 120 - 150 people many of whom will have experience of psychosis (16-35%), difficulties with personality problems (50-70%), anxiety and depression (50-80%) and many of whom will have attempted suicide (42%). The level of interventions will range from triage assessments to short term casework/treatment. The multi disciplinary team will comprise part time staff members that will include a team leader, GP, physical health lead, psychiatrist, community mental health nurse, and outreach drug and alcohol worker. The team will liaise with other BEH Trust services to support access to mainstream mental health services. The single point of Entry to Trust adult community services is through the four Locality Teams. Other community teams include the Early Intervention Service, Community Rehabilitation Team, Recovery and Enablement Team and the Wellbeing Clinic. Acute care provision comprises a Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team and acute admission wards. There are specialist Forensic and Eating Disorders services in the Trust as well as a Substance Misuse Service with integrated Dual Diagnosis workers linked into acute care and community teams.
