Why this role makes a difference As a Care and Support Worker within the Community Team, you will be closely supporting customers in their own homes to enable them to do everything they need to do to live well. Our customers deserve to be supported by someone who can share the next chapter in their life and make a real difference. The Team support relationships with customers across Sedgemoor and we have roles currently available in Burnham-On-Sea. We provide unique care packages tailored to suit our customer's lifestyles and keep them comfortable and happy in their own homes. As a Care and Support Worker, you will be closely supporting customers to enable them to do everything they need to do to live well. Our customers deserve to be supported by someone who can share the next chapter in their life and make a real difference. All of our Carers work together as part of a team to provide quality care. Essentially, you put the comfort, happiness and safety of our customers first - and do what you can to support them. You will be: * Helping our customers to remain in their own homes. * Supporting our customers by accompanying them to appointments, shopping, preparing meals and helping with daily living routines including washing, dressing and personal care. * Providing companionship and making someone's day that little bit easier. * Understanding the care plan in place to support the customers we look after. * Keeping clear and accurate records of the care and support provided at each visit. What we need from you: * A caring, kind and empathetic approach. * To be passionate about making a difference. * Good communication skills. * To work flexibly on set shifts including weekends. * To be a car driver No experience is necessary as you will be given full training and support right from the outset.
