Overview
Job Description
This post provides the opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic occupational therapist to help develop the elective orthopaedic service at Woodend Hospital, a team which supports the comprehensive assessment of patients undergoing elective orthopaedic surgery. A system of Enhanced Recovery after Surgery (ERAS) is operating in this service. This post will involve working closely with other occupational therapists and the multi-disciplinary team to assess and treat patients requiring elective orthopaedic surgery in both one to one and group situations. The post holder may be expected to work hours at weekends and on public holidays as part of a rota to meet the requirements of the service. Opportunities for continuous personal development (CPD) are encouraged with regular supervision and appraisal and in-service training as well as access to relevant external training.
