Job Description
Our client is a national company that specialise in the installation of a range of cladding and roofing systems. They work closely with our clients to provide a personal service that is focused on achieving the customers targets on quality, programme and budget. The main aim of this role is to work along side senior QS and assist in all areas as required to help run and monitor commercial needs of various cladding projects. Involves taking information from estimating stage through to contract completion whilst dealing with both subcontractors and clients in a fair and reasonable manner. Main Responsibilities * Getting orders & warranties signed, drafting covering letters and sending out to clients * Subcontract payments * Filling payments and other paperwork * Subcontract measures including preparing BQ's and agreeing rates * Placing subcontract orders and agreeing terms * Producing cost plans * Looking after subcontract accounts including monitoring variations & day-works, updating account summary documents, agreeing final accounts * Issuing final account certificates & payment notices to subcontractors * Assisting with preparation of valuations including going through progress with CM's * Chasing suppliers for quotes for pricing variations * Chasing day-work sheets & expenses information from subcontractors * Chasing up client instructions Main Skills * Previous relevant experience ideally approx. 1-2 years working as QS * Computer Literacy Skills - Excel, Word, Outlook, Project * Experience of roofing & cladding and advantage but not essential * Conscientious & hard working * To have good judgement and fair manner * Good commercial awareness * Flexible attitude towards work * Self-Motivated * Results orientated Qualifications Desired * CSCS * SMSTS * Asbestos Aware * NVQ Construction Qualification Responsibilities: Our client is a national company that specialise in the installation of a range of cladding and roofing systems.
