The role As part of a small team within a truly global community ofpeople dedicated to solving real-world mobility challenges, we design railway control and infrastructure interfacing systems for the UK market, providing innovative solutions based on our own hardware platforms. What are my responsibilities? You will play a significant role in the design, development and testing of the application software running on a Windowsoperating system that defines the hardware platform as a product. The software encompasses communication using a host of protocols over UDP/IP, TCP/IP, I2C and serial RS232/422, digital IO, redundancy control, system monitoring and graphical presentation, all designed to operate within a safety related environment. This will include; requirements capture, specifications, code reviews, Verification and Validation support, deployment and test tools, client meetings, commissioning support and occasional site visits and contribution to processes and obsolescence resolution. This will give the opportunity to provide solutions to intellectually challenging problems presented by the UK Rail infrastructure. What do I need to qualify for this job?
