Blending Plant Team Lead

Job Description
Key Accountabilities * Provide thought leadership and execution to modernize our blending facility and improve our ways of working to improve the efficiency and delivery of lubricant product blending * Managing multiple projects and prioritising work load and programmes to deliver to exacting timelines and budgets. * Rigorously manages and leads a team to meet the blending requirements of the Product Development Teams promoting shared responsibility and teamwork, performance management and accountability. * Champion health and safety culture, in line with OMS and relevant legislation e.g. COSHH, CLP, REACH, and MSDS. * Manage Stock control process * Implement new hardware, systems and ways of working to ensure safe handling and tracking of all raw materials and production of finished products. * Leading product Quality Control within the blending process About you * Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Engineering or related technical discipline. Engineering discipline preferred * Demonstrated ability to inspire change and continuous improvements in mentality, operations and infrastructure. * Broad experience of lubricant development, automotive engineering development, pilot plant operations and product research and technology * Demonstrate a collaborative approach to working * Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills * Team leader experience * Broad knowledge of lubricant products, their composition, manufacture and application. Desirable Experience * Good understanding of the interfaces and drivers within the business, in particular between sales, marketing, supply chain and the product development and research teams within GLT Do you have a passion for lubricant technology and inspiring others? The Blending Plant Team Lead will lead the Pangbourne Technology Centre Lubricant Blending Facilities to support Global Lubricant Technology product development programmes. Accountable for leading and ensuring blending systems infrastructure are maintained to enable delivery of blending operations and services. You will act as team leader for a team of technicians, responsible for their day to day technical direction, coaching, performance appraisals, mentoring and career development. Additionally, the purpose of this role is to improve the efficiency of Advanced Technology Product (ATP) by modernizing our blending systems and processes through developing and implementing integrated, automated & scalable and configurable hardware and work processes.
