Company Description We are Only Connect. We're on a mission to transform the lives of people with experience of the criminal justice system and to ultimately reduce reoffending. We do this by helping Londoners aged 16+ who are serving - or have recently completed - a sentence to harness their own potential and strengthen their relationships so that they can live crime-free lives. Only Connect exists to help people who have been in prison to lead crime-free lives. We do this by providing support and training opportunities, with a particular focus on helping our Members get jobs and strengthening their relationships. Job Description We are looking for a Fundraiser to help us fulfil our mission of transforming the lives of people with experience of the criminal justice system and to ultimately reduce re-offending. The Fundraiser, will play a crucial role in Only Connect's future plans. We have some excellent statutory contracts but we want additional funding to pay for developments that we hope could transform approaches to reducing re-offending. Your job will be to generate income through trust fundraising. You will have a key role in maintaining our social media presence, and you will help produce materials and content. You may also be involved in statutory bids, putting on events and anything else that might bring in the money we need. As a Fundariser you will be: * Generating income through trust fundraising. * Working on the whole process, from research, maintaining the database, writing bids and reports. * Networking, attending conferences and building positive relationships * Managing our social media accounts * Finding suitable trusts * Leading on bid writing and contributing to building the budgets and project design * Working with colleagues to develop and deliver presentations and pitches to potential donors Please click here for the job description Qualifications EXPERIENCE * Fundraising (at least 1 year), preferably from grant-making trusts * Creating web content that would appeal to potential donors. * Writing and winning bids / tenders / proposals. KNOWLEDGE (desirable) * Criminal Justice, Job search support or relationship support * An understanding of project budgets. SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Write well * Able to write engaging copy as blogs and tweets * Photography (desirable) APTITUDES * Manage your own time and priorities * Generate bids and get them out * Work flexibly as an active member of a lively, busy team * Take setbacks with resilience Additional Information The post can be very flexible - 3 days a week (21 hours per week), or term-time 3 or 4 days per week. We will consider part home working. Salary : 29,000 (f/te) We haven't set a deadline for this post, as we will process applications as we receive them. So, do apply promptly.
