We are sourcing for Sustainability and Climate Change Consultants at all levels. We have a well-deserved reputation for working with clients to produce robust climate assessments and carbon footprints that can be used with confidence in decision making. The team is currently working on a wide range of climate related projects for UK, Irish and multi-national businesses. Examples include GHG assessments as part of EIAs/ESIAs in sectors including highways, rail, aviation, power and urban regeneration; developing and reviewing carbon calculation tools; and advising on ambitions and targets for low carbon strategies including applying the science-based approach and developing associated mitigation plans. Minimum Requirements + Strong experience in carbon accounting (covering Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions) and demonstratable understanding of GHG reporting standards, guidance and regulatory regimes for example PAS 2080; PAS2050; EU ETS; ESOS etc. + Familiarity with climate projections including using them to build the case with colleagues, clients and their advisors to influence climate change resilient designs; + Demonstrated experience in advising on and integrating low carbon and resilient solutions into infrastructure design; + A strong understanding and practical application of the requirements for climate assessment in EIA and ESIA; + A science-based background i.e. relevant MSc or equivalent qualification in Sustainability, Carbon, Energy or similar, and a strong undergraduate degree in a STEM based subject. + Ideally, you will have previous experience with a consultancy firm, although applications from candidates with industry/corporate backgrounds are also welcome Preferred Qualifications STEM based BSc essential Sustainability/carbon/energy or similar MSc desirable What We Offer When you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future .
