Date Posted: 2020-06-08-07:00 Country: United Kingdom Location: Burgess Hill, United Kingdom We are currently seeking a Facilities Manager to join our Winnersh and Burgess Hill offices. Overall Purpose Responsible for the management of the on-going planning and maintenance of the facilities at two sites. (Winnersh & Burgess Hill) Liaise with and supervise contractors in accordance with company environmental & safety policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with ISO14001 and ISO 45001 in relation to the scope of the responsibilities. (Company is accredited to ISO9001) Reporting to the Operations Manager, RCUK based in Winnersh. Managing a small team of 6 staff Organising Fire Marshalls and First Aider and act as incident controller when necessary Managing hard and soft services; both internal and sub-contractors with particular focus on E,H&S. Represent Facilities and contribute to the management of change process to ensure that the technical integrity and compliance of the facilities is maintained. Key Accountabilities Description Departmental Administration Ensure that all Departmental records are adequately maintained. Ensure that all current processes, controls, and policies are complied with. Effective Communication To be able to communicate with both External and Internal Customers To be able to communicate with outside agencies to ensure that the Departmental Customer's and Company's requirements are met. Leadership To manage the facilities team in the support of the business's objectives. Authority * Select suitable contractors to carry tasks in support of the business and obtain quotations and submit recommendations for approval. * Contribute to establishing the department annual operating budget and managing all associated expenditure. Key Competencies Integrity Maintain the company's high ethical standards. Administrative skills Well organised so that all records are maintained and readily available. Planning & Organising To plan and organise own daily workload through prioritisation. To check work thoroughly and methodically. Time management Self motivating and able to effectively schedule own and staff's workload. Communication skills Be able to communicate with people at all levels both internally and externally. Be proactive and willing to learn Ensure all urgent requirements are dealt with within the required time limits. Innovation To be proactive and willing to learn to the development of systems. Key Qualifications and Experience Essential Experience / Skills: Prior experience of working in a similar role BIFM Qualification HNC or Level 4 H&S General Certificate Project Management (Plant installation & Interior fit out) PC literate - Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes email Good numeracy and literacy skills Planning and organising workload resources Excellent communication skills UK Driving Licence Desirable Experience / Skills: Autocad, TurboCad or similar (2D level) L6 Diploma Occupational Safety & Health The suitable candidate must be eligible for attaining UK Ministry of Defence "Security Clearance" and will be a condition of employment.
