Job Description

QA Automation Engineer Role. Taskize is a London fintech building a problem resolution network for the financial industry. In our first year after going live, we have signed over 100 banks in 35 countries. Our clients' back-office operations use Taskize to quickly connect with the right people with the right skills in the right firms, to resolve queries and issues quickly & efficiently. As a software engineer, your mission is to be part of a core team helping to shape the product, build depth and add new capabilities into our platform which will enable our customers to transform financial industry operations. We're looking for someone who has a passion for technology, a hunger to learn, and the professionalism required in a mission critical role. We believe in close-knit teams and you will have exposure to all parts of the system. All our engineers practice as full-stack generalists, are passionate about balancing craftsmanship with engineering and has experience of (or an appreciation of) a DevOps culture. As a small team we are looking for somebody with an analytical mind, strong communication skills, and interested to learn new things. You will be involved at every step of the development lifecycle from concept to deployment into production. Our office is in central London, close to Liverpool Street Station. While all our customer facing roles are based in the London office, we have staff distributed globally, so we are open to remote working. Requirements * Previous working experience as automation QA * Knowledge of automation testing frameworks * Have experience creating automated tests on: web technologies, user interface, messaging, security, concurrency, resiliency, networking, caching and performance * Ability to write end to end automation tests, passionate about reliability, repeatability and testing * A high level of proficiency in testing techniques such as exploratory testing * Ability to take charge of your time and prioritise problems to solve * Experience working in a cross functional development team, collaborating with product managers and developers * Excellent communication skills both written and oral * Have experience of working in a small, highly productive Scrum/Agile team * Comfortable working in a Mac/Linux environment * Aptitude and ability to learn quickly and a keenness to learn new things Desirable Attributes * Comfortable working in a start-up culture where we lay the path instead of following it * Hands-on from design to operate * Experience of working with cloud computing platforms/services Apply for this Job
