The Forcepoint Cloud Security Gateway Engineering team has an open position for a Full Stack Developer. On this team you will develop, integrate and enhance the large and scalable real-time global service. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a passion for technology and will be customer focussed. Forcepoint Reading Office The Forcepoint office is located in a spacious nature reserve and park grounds next to the river Thames in Reading (TVP), with easy access to Reading Town Centre provided by a complimentary bus service. Responsibilities Analyze requirements, design, document, implement production level code, with automated test coverage Assist in agile planning activities by breaking down epics and providing estimates for stories and tasks Act as a mentor and leader for other less senior members on the team assisting in career development with the wider leadership team. Work in a DevOps environment with the ability to collaborate effectively with other engineering groups Solve production issues that need reproduction, root cause analysis, and coding Key Skills Experience developing software for a production environment in Perl/Mason, Apache, MySQL. Networking concepts (HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP) Development experience on a Linux/Unix platform Requirement analysis and definition Focus on quality and process improvement Desirable Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of Cloud technologies Scrum Master/ Product Owner experience as part of an agile framework Knowledge of other languages: e.g. Jetty, Java, JSP, Javascript, jquery, Sencha Understanding of security concepts: secure application development, defensive programming, encryption, software vulnerabilities, exploits Experience with understanding software performance Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent Experience working with one or more agile development methodologies
