Job Description
Axis Studios are looking to hire an experienced ASSEMBLY EDITOR on a freelance basis, to work onsite in our London based studio. The Assembly Editor is primarily responsible for assembling first pass animatics from storyboard panels as well as updating shots and sequences as the shots pass through the production pipeline. The Assembly Editor will also source temporary audio to ensure timing and pace feels appropriate, as well as manage all incoming media and outgoing deliverables. In addition to the above, there's a general expectation they will support the Lead Editor and work closely with the team to ensure the latest materials are incorporated in the edits. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Downloading and organizing files from other departments e.g storyboards, audio. * Preparing projects for lead editor. * Assembling storyboard animatics as directed. * Locating and laying down sound effects and music for edits. * Preparing deliveries to clients. REQUIREMENTS: * Previous assembly editing experience. * Preferably animation experience. * Good IT skills and ability to pick up new software. * Good understanding of film and digital formats, files, frame rates, resolutions, colourspace and codecs. * Calm and focused when under pressure. * Have a passion and interest in animation.
