SECURE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES BROCKFIELD HOUSE BAND 6 - DEPUTY CHARGE NURSE/DEPUTY WARD SISTER Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) is one of the top Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Trust in the country. We currently have opportunities for two enthusiastic, innovative and motivated Deputy Charge Nurse/ Deputy Ward Sister to join our dynamic teams of highly skilled clinicians on Forest and Causeway at Brockfield House, however the post is rotational. The post holders will work under the overall supervision of the Charge Nurse/ Ward Sister, but is required to undertake the duties of the post without direct supervision. They are required to supervise and disseminate knowledge to nursing and non-nursing colleagues working within the clinical area. The post holder is designated as the person to take charge regularly in the absence of the Charge Nurse/ Ward Sister, as agreed, undertaking defined managerial responsibility for the ward. In addition, the post holder will be expected to take a key role as lead on the clinical practice within the area, will demonstrate good leadership skills whilst ensuring robust standards of care are in place, including physical, mental health and social needs ensuring theses are implemented and evaluated. The post holder will be required to undertake the role of unit coordinator on a rostered basis providing senior leadership to the unit.
