**Principal Software Engineer - Container Security (SVP)** The Citi Container Engineering organization is responsible for building and operating various Kubernetes platforms (OpenShift, EKS, GKE, AKS). You will be part of a team building a seamless experience that allows our developers to develop on any platform without worrying about the underlying infrastructure or its integrations. We are trying to build a self-service, secure, and multi-cloud platform to quickly allow our developer to code, test, and deploy to Production. We are a passionate team with a razor focus on doing a couple things right. We believe and encourage teams to fail fast. We want people to challenge management, voice their opinions, and ultimately drive our strategy. You have the opportunity to work hands-on with industry leading tools and platforms, and making an impact to how Citi enables our developers. + Work with our partners to engineer a seamless development experience for our developers + Take ownership of issues and provide technical leadership in providing real-world solutions + Design, build, manage and operate the infrastructure and configuration of applications with a focus on automation and infrastructure as code. + The ideal candidate will also have prior experience developing applications on either of the three major cloud platforms - AWS, Azure, and GCP. + Develop comprehensive monitoring solutions to provide full visibility to the different platform components using tools and services like Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog + Ability to work with partner organizations and other stakeholders to identify automation use cases for complex security solutions with different degrees of documentation; use creative ways to solve complex problems + Actively work with the larger Citi Technolgoy Engineering teams, managing day-to-day community engagement and promote security automation + Write unit and integration tests and understand debugging software + Actively participate in code reviews with the team + Define test strategy by reviewing requirements, architecture, and design documents + Understand current and emerging threats in the enterprise product space with a focus on containers and Kubernetes. + Work with developers to provide guidance and help them understand and make use of security technologies, methodologies, and concepts + Communicate flaw information with software developers, managers, quality engineers, and peers in the CTI Engineering Teams. + Conduct well-documented security audits and threat analyses solutions with a primary focus Containers and Kubernetes. **Skills / Experience Levels** + Experience with various Kubernetes platforms (OpenShift, EKS, AKS, GKE) + Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes + Experience with scripting and orchestration including Terraform and/or CloudFormation + Experience with Go, C, or C++; proficiency in multiple languages like Python, Java, or Ruby; ability to read the code + Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, AppDynamics, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent + Experience with public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) + Experience working with Jira, Jenkins, and Artifactory + Technical knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM), enterprise firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention System (IDPS), privileged access management (PAM), Endpoint Security, and other enterprise security solutions + Experience with and skills in debugging and analysis, especially using tools like GDB, Valgrind, strace, and other programming or system-level debuggers **Education:** + Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience ----- Grade :All Job Level - All Job FunctionsAll Job Level - All Job Functions - GB ----- Time Type : ----- Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
