Job Description

System business analyst An exciting opportunity has arisen for a System BA to join the Technology team of Informa Connect, a division of Informa focused on Conferences and Training. At present the division is going through a period of change and undertaking exciting projects to support and evolve our event capability for customers. You will work with product, UX/UI and development teams to delivery cross-system functionality and onboard new businesses in accordance to the product roadmap. You will be responsible for integration analysis and ensuring requirements are documented and understood for both technical and non-technical teams. We are looking for candidates who, in addition to fulfilling their main responsibilities, will proactively seek continual improvement of internal processes and practices across the wider team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Work closely with product managers and proxy product owners to drive and refine requirements for the benefit of the Informa Connect customer as well as for a myriad of internal users. * Interpret business requirements into systems and technology language, where required. * Conduct AS IS and TO BE analysis with addition of system flow diagrams or process maps/models where required. * Work with solution architects and development teams, both internal and external, to translate requirements into use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria. * Participate in creation of test plans/strategies relating to larger scale projects, such as data migrations and implementation of complex business logic. * Help onboard new businesses by identifying new functional requirements or workflow workarounds. * Help estimate work to inform product roadmap and delivery schedules. * Actively participate in agile ceremonies. * Play a role in maintaining JIRA to ensure efficient governance of the software development lifecycle and sprint delivery schedule. * Work with a combination of on-shore and off-shore teams. * Help sets KPIs and provide reports/ad-hoc analysis, where required. SKILLS REQUIRED * Solid Business Analysis experience. * Experience in system analysis, data mapping and/or API mapping. * Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition. * Well-versed in end-to-end software development cycles. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Familiarity with end-to-end (cross-system) testing. * Strong understanding of product life-cycle. * Experience working with off-shore teams.
