Overview
Job Description
This one year post with a rotating contract in Clinical Radiology is primarily based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but may include Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin and Raigmore Hospital in NHS Highland. There will be a requirement to work in shifts on rotation, including evening, weekend and overnight work. The Acute Clinical Radiology service includes covering Acute Imaging Services including Fluoroscopy, Plain Radiography, US, CT and MRI. The Out of Hours services include providing cover for A&E, Acute Medical Admissions Unit and all Acute Services including Interventional requirements There are 3 Clinical Multislice CT, 3 Clinical MRI scanners and 1 3T University scanner, where regular Research related imaging takes place. There is a Cyclotron on site supporting a robust Nuclear Medicine Department and PET/CT. All Oncology Services are provided on site including a fully service Radiotherapy suite. Clinical Radiology team work in close relations with the Oncology Department both in clinical service provision and in Research related activities.
