Job Description
Morgan Hunt are delighted to be working with Chelmsford College, offering a challenging opportunity for a Programme Area Manager - Construction. Working closely with the Curriculum Area Manager, the successful candidate will provide a positive strategic and operational leadership by creating a dynamic, supportive and innovative environment that drives the Programme area forward. Main responsibilities of the Programme Area Manager - Construction: * Lead on curriculum innovation and development across the courses. * Deputise for the Curriculum Area Manager including undertaking delegated line management responsibility * Support on managing the subject reviews activities and self-assessment, monitoring the courses are matched to the students and that the improvement of teaching, learning and assessments. * Provide positive operational leadership by creating a dynamic, supportive and innovative environment * Effectively and efficiently manage all resources within given budgetary parameters * Identify and assist in the development of commercial, apprenticeship and work placed learning opportunities * Working closely to improve and develop teaching, learning and assessment * Actively contribute to the recruitment and retention of students * Deliver on the agreed amount of teaching hours A successful Programme Area Manager - Construction must have: * Experience in and around the Construction/Construction Trades curriculum * Experience in a managerial capacity * Full teaching Qualification * Relevant Degree or equivalent professional qualification * Excellent knowledge of Education and Training inspection framework * Good or outstanding teaching, learning and assessment observation grades Permanent role, Salary up to £36,520 If you are passionate and excited to make an impact as a Programme Area Manager across the Construction curriculum area within a thriving Education and Training provider, please contact the Morgan Hunt team or for more information please visit Morgan Hunt is a multi award winning Employment Business for interim, contract and temporary recruitment and acts as an Employment Agency in relation to permanent vacancies.
