Print on Demand Shift Manager Location: Warrington/Manchester Please note this role will initially be based at our Warrington site (WA5 3TP), with relocation to our Manchester site (M90 1QX) after approximately 3-4 months. You therefore must be able to work at both locations. THG is one of the worlds fastest growing and largest online retailers. Consumer includes Brands such as Zavvi, IWOOT, and Popinabox - some of Europe's largest online retailers for Licensed Merchandise, Collectables, and Gifting products. A focus on in-house produced and exclusive products through our print on demand facility, has accelerated evolution of the sites away from traditional entertainment retailers towards growing Merchandise and Collectable markets an area we plan to continue our investment in. We are looking for creative, innovative, and resourceful Shift Managers for our Print on Demand team. Main Responsibilities Ensure that your teams are all operating efficiently, safely and that quality standards are met so that customers receive a good experience Identifying and correcting processes to increase efficiencies within operations & production Work with the Learning and Development team to ensure that all staff in your teams receive the relevant training Work with the Learning and Development team to ensure that all staff in your teams receive the relevant training Reviewing work forecasts within production & dispatch and determining resource required to meet objectives Planning the shift resource and communicating to Team Leaders for execution Communicating instructions from Senior Operations Staff to your direct reports and Teams and ensure these are followed Identifying problems and proposing solutions to address Working with Health & Safety to ensure that all members of your team have been suitably trained for each task that they are asked to perform so that they can operate safely and in line with THGs Health & Safety policies and procedures. Identifying key members of the team for development Working with HR to manage employee relations / deal with any conflicts that arise Planning and leading complex or large-scale projects to improve efficiencies and identify opportunities for improvement. Where the print on demand team implements changes, communicate the purpose and encourage others to contribute positively and participate in change process. Requirements * Experience managing, motivating and developing a team in a Print on Demand environment or similar * Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills * Good understanding of H&S and HR procedures * Takes accountability for the team * Ability to lead through change * A positive and enthusiastic attitude * Ability to build a rapport with staff at all levels of the operation * Ability to remain focused with a good attention to detail * Good at working under pressure, managing your time and your teams timed effectively and solving problems * Good team player * Prior knowledge of MS Office programmes & warehouse management software. * Strong knowledge of inventory management & supply chain management * Knowledge of inbound / outbound warehouse processes * Ability to work 12 hour shifts (We operate a Front End / Back End Model) * Be able to travel to both our Warrington site (WA5) and our Manchester site (M90) Benefits * Competitive salary * Employee discounts * Company bonus scheme * Company pension scheme
