'I am a young woman with a diagnosis of Atypical Autism, learning disability, Epilepsy and some behaviours that challenge. I also have limited communication and sensory needs but I respond really positively to intensive interaction. I have recently moved into my own flat adjacent to the family home so now I am looking for female support workers to join my team and help me live as independently as possible. My ideal support worker would have experience although bespoke training around my diagnosis will be given. Most importantly I need workers who will understand that routine and consistency are very important to me they must have an eye for detail and be able to follow my very detailed care plans to ensure that my needs are met and I am safe. Successful female support workers will have the unique opportunity to work closely alongside my family who are very supportive and important to me and know how to make my world right. For the right candidate this will be an extremely exciting and rewarding post.' Location: Hazelbury Bryan a village southwest of Sturminster Newton, Dorset A Specialist Support Worker is one of our most essential roles and involves: * Helping our customers to remain independent in their own homes. * Supporting our customers by accompanying them to appointments, shopping, preparing meals and helping with daily living routines including washing, dressing and personal care. * Providing companionship and making someone's day that little bit easier. * Maintaining and recording accurate notes, including relevant care and support plans and risk assessments. * Taking responsibility for the smooth day to day running of the service. * Supporting the management team by carrying out tasks relating to the management and training of the team of Support Workers. * Acting as an ambassador for the Company, building effective working relationships with external and community organisations such as families, neighbours and relevant professional bodies. What we need from you: * A caring, kind and empathetic approach. * Enthusiasm, commitment and regards to everyone as equal. * To be passionate about making a difference. * Good communication skills. * To have a driving licence and access to a car for work purposes. * (Ideally) Previous attainment of a level 2 NVQ or equivalent Health and Social Care qualification and willingness to work towards level 3 with our support. You will be given full training and support right from the outset.
