Job Description
Introduction We are a part of IBMs global Chief Information Office responsible for building applications and solving problems for IBM's 210,000 Business Partners and the IBMers who support them. Our vision is to become a world class delivery organisation and deliver business value at speed. To support this vision, we recently moved into a new purpose built facility designed to encourage collaboration and creativity, housed within the world's largest WeWork site next to London Waterloo. Your Role and Responsibilities Our Software delivery squads are strong in contemporary Web and API development practises, and we are looking for expertise in databases. Some of our existing projects are: + We are migrating from a legacy ASP.net environment as we redefine how we work with our Partner's CRM applications. + Introducing AI into our born on the cloud applications. The successful candidate could have these responsibilities: Articulate and compare alternative approaches. Negotiate with specified objectives Independently generate solutions based on analytical skills & business knowledge Build proof-of-concept solutions with data management technology and architecting data management solutions Plan, develop, test, implement, monitor, document, and improve the performance of database systems Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications Expertise in debugging and analytical skills with a solid grasp of system development methodologies, techniques and tool Use advanced technical knowledge to perform and apply new technical procedures to the business processes Provide advice in technical/operational domain of specialisation, as well as general control own work priorities and methods requiring tradeoffs Required skills: + Experience in ASP.net to support our migration into a strategic cloud environment + Awareness and experience in a range of database technologies + A track record of data migration - ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) + Working closely with the development team advising on best practices and industry standards Required Technical and Professional Expertise As per job description Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise As per job description About Business Unit We are a part of IBMs global Chief Information Office responsible for building applications and solving problems for IBM's 210,000 Business Partners and the IBMers who support them.
