Job Description

Crane Engineer Plymouth £30,000 to £35,000 per annum salary dependant on experience + Overtime. On Target Earnings of £50,000 per annum Crane Engineer sought by national service provider within the lifting equipment industry to work as a resident engineer at a nuclear/defence-based customer at Plymouth Docs. You will work on a range on overhead cranes carrying out routine inspection and repair and ensuring strict standards in terms of equipment maintenance, function and health and safety are always maintained. Any prior experience and certification within the defence or nuclear sector is advantageous but not essential. Those holding an NVQ 3 mechanical/Crane related qualification would also be advantageous although support towards further training can be made available for the successful candidate. This is a static role at the one customer in Plymouth, with a team of existing experienced engineers in operation at the site, you will need to volunteer into a security clearance check and undergo certain training to fully certify you to carry out the role fully if prior nuclear/defence experience is not present. The role in Brief: * Full electrical and mechanical maintenance on a range of overhead cranes * work on a Monday to Friday basis with regular overtime opportunities The Person Required: * Experienced crane engineer * Hold an NVQ 3 in mechanical/electrical or crane specific technology or equivalent * Any previous experience and clearance for nuclear/defence sector advantageous
