The UBS GTT (Group Treasury Technology) team is looking for a hands-on Frontend Engineering Lead to take the reins of building our next-generation front end platforms. Your team: Your team : You'll be working in the Group Treasury IT team based in our London Golden Lane Offices. Our team makes sure that as a business we get the most out of our technology investment by collaborating with colleagues, delivering on projects and outlining the technical roadmap using our combined knowledge. You will have huge potential to grow with a dynamic startup like environment; you will have a direct impact in contributing towards our engineering-driven culture You will own the execution, delivery, and scaling of our client facing Treasury Portal - a green field build from scratch opportunity Execute hiring, building, leading and mentoring a front-end engineering and design team work closely with the product managers, treasury, trading, risk and finance teams that support the Group Treasury business collaborate with other technical teams and architects to solve complex problems plan, design, communicate, and implement software systems with an eye towards robust, extensible architecture lead technical discussions and plans to improve our overall software quality develop technical specifications and decompose the specification into tasks and phases estimate project work effort and delivery, and create project roadmaps and manage stakeholders continuously raise the bar in terms of code quality, performance, and systems design fostering an engineering culture - a culture of automation, ownership, accountability, measurement, and testing. Your expertise: Technical strong hands-on JavaScript/jQuery skills; top-notch hands on React skills; experience with Maven (build frameworks), Grunt/Gulp/Webpack, Unit Testing (e.g. Jasmine, Casper), jQuery, SPA frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Backbone, Vue), modern-day CMS (Drupal, AEM, etc.) Engineering leading frontend architect for at least one application; you've led multiple engineers in a distributed team; ideally over 8 years of engineering experience and have recently had substantial full-stack exposure; experience in building highly scalable, highly reliable front end infrastructure automating everything across the development lifecycle (CICD / Automated testing / Automated deployment) using containers and container orchestration (Docker / Kubernetes) Leadership building and retaining a high end front end engineering team enjoy cross team collaboration especially with product managers and designers lead technical discussions and plans to improve our overall software quality manage stakeholders based on measured estimates of project work effort and delivery, and create project roadmaps partner with other technical teams, architects to leverage solutions User Focused: cross team collaboration especially with product managers and designers care about the detail in the user experience passionate about understanding and solving the user's problems and have an eye for detail you iterate quickly on product changes through experience with Agile/Scrum framework you've successfully developed user stories. *LI-DNI *EFC-UBS About us: Expert advice.
