What you will do Our building efficiency division delivers products, services and solutions that increase energy efficiency and lower operating costs in buildings for more than one million customers worldwide. We are a leading provider of equipment, controls, fire & security and services for heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, refrigeration and security systems. The UK&I Service team delivers innovative maintenance and service solutions to a wide customer base across all industry segments for Hvac, chillers, industrial refrigeration, controls and mechanical & electrical works. We are the OEM for SABROE, Frick Compressors & York products with trained engineer's located nationally providing project solutions along with planned, preventative & reactive works to our target markets being cold storage, general manufacturing, leisure, pharmaceutical, automotive, Health care and government sites How you will do it As a Service Technician in the Operations Team serving the South West area working out of Plymouth branch. As the direct contact with the client for site technical service and maintenance issues, you will be responsible for trouble shooting and resolving industrial refrigeration/chiller systems/Air conditioning within a set timeframe and according to a defined process, service agreement and customer needs. You will carry out system PPM as per contract requirements communicating clearly findings and any further actions required or recommendations for system improvement, upgrades or optimisations. New installations of HVAR equipment. As a Technician you will keep the customer informed on the service you are providing. Prepare detailed reports/technical communications on work carried out and submit to Service Coordinator & Client as required. Health and Safety will be at the forefront of everything you do. Although often working without accompaniment you will be part of a team and contribute towards its success. What we look for * Ideally served a refrigeration and air-conditioning apprenticeship * Ideally hold a recognised refrigeration qualification. City & Guilds. * You will have an F-GAS 2079 card and ammonia handling certification is preferred but not essential * Experience in working with HFC, Ammonia & Co2 systems * Experience with major manufacturers such as SABROE, Frick, York, Bitzer, Trane and Carrier * Experience with DX, pumped, flooded, multistage systems and VRV'S * Electrical and controls experience to be able to identify and rectify electrical and control issues * Understands and analyses relevant technical documents such as electrical schemes, fluid schemes, piping diagrams * Capable of working without documented procedures and with limited supervision * A committed can do positive attitude with the ability to integrate and work as a member of a team
