Assistant project manager - UWS Systems Would you like to work on large scale, technically complex Sonar software and equipment delivery projects? We currently have a vacancy for an Assistant project manager - UWS Systems to be based at our Frimley site. As an Assistant project manager - UWS Systems , you will co-ordinate a multi-functional team including Engineering, Supply Chain and other business functions to deliver the allocated Sonar Inboard Software and Equipment projects across the lifecycle. You will ensure all elements of your projects delivered to Schedule, Budget and Quality targets in accordance with BAE Systems Maritime - Submarines business processes. Your main responsibilities as an Assistant project manager - UWS Systems will involve: Define, Develop and maintain a task-based schedule for all UWS Systems Engineering activities Responsibility for a reporting cost and schedule performance, application of the project governance process for all allocated projects Contribute to UWS Systems Engineering aspects of work package development across UWS projects, as required by our internal programme management teams and directed by the UWS Senior Project Manager. Including development of schedules, estimates and risks Management of the resource profile required to achieve project timescales and deliverables Support accurate forecasting of deliverables, schedule and cost at completion for allocated projects across submarine programmes Monitoring and Control of UWS Systems Engineering projects, including regular status reporting in accordance with company processes Your skills and qualifications: 2 years Project Management experience of medium software integration projects Knowledge of Project Management techniques including risk and opportunity management, resource planning and estimating Experience of a stage/phase gate Project Management process Good Verbal and Written Communication skills Proficient in MS Office IT Packages; including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Desirable: Experience in managing cross functional teams, including Engineering, Commercial and Finance
