Principal Project Leader - UWS Inboard Would you like to work on large scale, technically complex Sonar software and equipment delivery projects? We currently have a vacancy for a Principal Project Leader to be based at our Frimley or Weymouth sites. As a Principal Project Leader, you will co-ordinate a multi-functional team including Engineering, Supply Chain and other business functions to deliver the allocated Sonar Inboard Software and Equipment projects across the lifecycle. You will ensure all elements of your projects are delivered to Schedule, Budget and Quality targets in accordance with BAE Systems Maritime - Submarines business processes. Your main responsibilities as a Principal Project Leader will involve: Contribute to the success of the UWS team in delivering the large scale and complex programmes for specification, design and supply of Combat Systems equipment Define, Develop and maintain a task-based schedule for all allocated Sonar Inboard Equipment and Software projects, ensuring project governance for all projects Responsibility for reporting cost and schedule performance for Sonar Inboard Software and Equipment through delegation of work packages from the UWS Senior Project Manager Lead and/or contribute to Sonar Inboard and Software aspects of work package development across the Dreadnought programme, as required by our internal programme management teams and directed by the UWS Senior Project Manager. Including development of schedules, estimates and risks Accurate forecasting and management of project timescales and deliverables, schedule and cost at completion for allocated projects Monitoring and Control of Sonar Inboard Equipment and Software projects, including regular status reporting in accordance with company processes Management of key supplier interfaces and supplier performance Your skills and qualifications: 3-5 years demonstratable Project Management experience of medium sized software integration projects Knowledge of Project Management techniques including risk and opportunity management, resource planning and estimating Experience of a stage/phase gate Project Management process Good Verbal and Written Communication skills
