Stock Controller

Responsibilities / Accountabilities * Control stock levels * Ensure working capital is kept within targeted limits * Manage and achieve stock related KPI's * Coordinate stock purchases via existing contracts - including imports from overseas * Input and process purchase orders onto the in-house system * Utilise system reports to ensure stock is received on time and in full * Communicate with depots to ensure sales orders and purchase orders are confirmed * Liaise with other departments to rectify any customer complaints related to stock * Act as key stock contact for major customers and suppliers * Actively pursue additional purchasing and procurement opportunities * Liaise with other depots for supplying and procuring stock * Liaise with members of the sales team to maximise sales opportunities * Support the customer service function as and when required * Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by the appropriate line managers from time to time, related to the effective and efficient performance of the job, and providing they are within the post holders skills and ability
