A professional husband and wife, with three children are shortly due to re-locate to Westminster, London, SW1 from Canada, are looking for an experienced Butler to join their family home. You should be an experienced Butler, looking for a long-term role. Package Offered £50,000 - £70,000 gross per year depending on experience. Family Background A High Net Worth family in Westminster, London are looking for an experienced Butler. This is a fully staffed household and the family are relocating from Canada to live in London whilst the husband works in Europe. The family are due to arrive on the 1st of August, but need to have the staff in place before they arrive. They have three children aged 7, 5 and 3, and are bringing their much-loved nanny/housekeeper with them. They are looking to complete their staffing needs in the new property. They would like a butler to join their residence to help with service in all aspects of the home, from family life through to guest services and front of house service. There are no pets in the household. The family travel regularly, however the children will be going to school in London. Duties You should be highly professional, capable and have experience as a Butler. You must be flexible and reliable as plans change frequently, and often at short notice. You should have excellent communication skills and experience liaising with other members of staff. In first instance you should be confident and skilled at getting the house prepared for the principals arriving into the UK. You should then be able to deal with the household staff which are already existing and seamlessly work in any new staff who join the property to create the dream team! You should be a confident driver, and happy to provide chauffeuring duties for the principal and the family guests when required. You should also be skilled at personal valeting duties, from wardrobe management through to clothing care. You should have service skills both in formal and informal and understand Silver Service. You will be service at meals, dinner parties and events. You will be meeting and greeting guests and ensuring that the principals and their guests have everything they need. You should be immaculately presented, professional and a discreet individual who understands the importance of confidentiality. This is a formal household, and they regularly throw large dinner parties and events, you will be expected to wear a uniform, and present yourself in the highest manner. With ultimate discretion and respect for the family. Making life run smoothly, and also assisting with driving duties, household management, valeting duties, wardrobe management and serving at the formal dinner parties and lunches. The family enjoy discipline and respect within their household, hence why they take a formal approach to etiquette in the household. However they are down to earth, and enjoy a good and positive teamwork environment amongst the household staff. You should be skilled in staff management, and be able to manage and organise the staff in the household, including the nannies, housekeepers, cook and other staff who work in the property. You should be conservative and have a good sense of humour, willing to work with a friendly, yet busy household. Overall the quality of your service is the very highest - providing effortless and discreet service for the principals and their guests. Location The property will be in Westminster, London, SW1, and this is a live out role so you should be able to commute easily to the property. Days/Hours Working five days per week, to include Saturday and Sunday, with two full days off per week, with flexibility to work additional days/be flexible on working days when required (and agreed in advance). 8am - 8pm. Languages A excellent level of English. Special Skills Total professionalism, Butler skills and a high level of discretion and ability to work well with others. You should have a full driving licence and have a proven background in Butlering. Interview/Start date ASAP - the family representative in the UK is interviewing, with offers being made prior to the family arrival in August.
