About the role As a Domiciliary Care Assistant you will join our fabulous team of carers who support our residents with daily living activities in a person-centred manner within their own apartments and suites. You will promote physical and personal independence as well as support choices in the residents' activities, whilst helping to provide a comfortable, homely and safe living environment. Attending to our residents social, emotional and physical needs, Domiciliary Care Assistants will require excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, and need to be clear in their communication with both residents and their colleagues. Working within a small team, yet often independently you will be used to working on your own initiative and resolve issues with minimal supervision. You are able to work to timed tasks whilst ensuring processes and routines are followed diligently. You able experienced in providing personal care that includes washing, getting dressed, toileting as well as helping with basic household tasks such as tidying, washing up etc. Some medication will also be provided by you, though this is restricted to tasks that do not require a trained nurse. Flexibility is required to work evenings and weekends within a rolling roster. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care or previous experience required.
